Tell us your iPhone model and your iOS version if something is broken. Never send passwords, card numbers or bank login details, and note that we cannot see anything you entered in the app.
Your subscription
How do I cancel?
Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Weightless, then Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I stop a free trial before it charges me?
Cancel the same way, at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Cancelling during the trial still leaves you full access until the trial's last day.
I paid, but the app is asking me to subscribe again
Open the app, go to Settings, then tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with. If that does not work, email us.
I want a refund
Apple handles all App Store refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them, but tell us what went wrong anyway, because it is usually something we can fix.
Your data
Does Weightless connect to my bank?
No, and it never will. You enter your debts by hand. There is no account to create, no bank login, and nothing you type is sent anywhere. That is a deliberate design decision, not a missing feature.
I am getting a new phone. How do I move my data?
Use an encrypted iPhone backup or Quick Start when setting up the new phone and the app's data comes across with it. To be certain, open Settings in the app and use Export first, and keep the file somewhere safe.
I deleted the app. Can you restore my history?
We cannot, because we never had a copy. Your data lived on your phone only. If you have an iPhone backup from before the deletion, restoring it brings the data back.
Can I lock the app?
Yes. In Settings, turn on the app lock and Weightless asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your iPhone passcode each time it opens. There is no separate app password to forget.
The numbers
My mortgage payoff date is years off
Almost always escrow. A US mortgage payment usually bundles property tax and homeowners insurance, so entering the full monthly payment tells the app that far more is reaching the loan than actually is. Enter only the principal and interest portion, which your statement lists separately. Weightless is built for credit cards, car loans, student loans and personal loans; a mortgage is welcome but it is not what the app is tuned for.
Which method should I pick, smallest balance or highest interest?
Paying the highest interest rate first costs less in total. Paying the smallest balance first clears individual debts sooner, which many people find easier to keep up. Weightless supports both, and you can switch at any time in Settings. The difference in total interest is often smaller than people expect, and a plan you actually stick to beats a cheaper one you abandon.
Why does my payoff date differ from my lender's?
The app assumes interest accrues monthly at the rate you entered, that every minimum is paid on time, and that nothing new is added to the balance. Real lenders may accrue daily, charge fees, or end a promotional rate. Your lender's statement is always the authority.
I missed a month
Nothing breaks. Open the month, mark what actually happened, and the plan recalculates from where you really are. You can fill in a month you skipped after the fact.
Does it work outside the United States?
The app works anywhere, but every amount is shown in US dollars and the app is written for the US market. The arithmetic does not care what currency your numbers represent, though the dollar sign will still be there.
